Donald J. Nelson, age 64 of Bridgeport died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. He was the devoted husband of Susan Mirsky Nelson. Born in Bridgeport on July 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Donald Nelson and Jean O'Malley Nelson McKenna. Donald was an elementary school teacher with the Bridgeport Public School System retiring recently after 33 years. In addition to his wife Susan he is also survived by his brother Paul Nelson and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Jack. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family.
