Doris Cuneo Miklos, age 93 a resident of the Regency House in Wallingford passed away peacefully Friday, September 11, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Miklos. Born in Somerville, MA she resided in Bridgeport for many years and then Shelton.  She was a retired sales clerk for D.M. Read's, UConn Men and Women's Basketball fan and loved taking trips to the casino. Mrs. Miklos was a past parishioner and member of the St. Ambrose Seniors. She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Syler of Arizona, and Doree Fitzgerald and her husband Robert of Cheshire, beloved grandchildren, Jay Syler and his wife Jennifer, and Jennifer Syler of Arizona, Rob Fitzgerald, Matthew Fitzgerald and his wife Nichole, of Wallingford, great granddaughter Ashley Fitzgerald, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marie, Emma, Gloria Cuneo, and Catherine Tyler, brother Joseph Cuneo, and son-in-law Dr. James Syler. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Saturday, September 19, at 10:30am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 380 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton. Interment will be private.
