Doris E. Jahreis Miller, age 98 of Bridgeport died peacefully Monday, March 10, 2025, at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehab Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Miller. Born in Bridgeport she was the daughter of John Henry and Helen Johanna Roth Jahreis. She worked at Bridgeport Credit Union and General Electric before becoming a home maker. Doris was the treasurer of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport for 30 years prior to its closing. Doris was an avid reader, knitter and quilter and donated over 200 quilts for charity. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, bowling, and playing pool. Her dedicated daily routine contributed to her long lasting health. She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Borona, son, Gary R. Miller, grandchildren, Michael R. Miller and Christopher C. Borona and great grandson, Anthony Murphy Jr. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Paul, granddaughter, Stefanie and sister, Irma. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church,160 Hill Farm Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery.
