Obituary

Dorothy Mae Reilly Dwyer, age 82, of Stratford, beloved wife of John J. Dwyer, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in her home. Dot was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Tolster Reilly and was a lifelong Bridgeport resident before moving to Stratford a short time ago. She received her nursing degree from Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing. Dot was very active in numerous groups at St. Patrick Church and School including; The Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, Parish Nurse Program. Leader of Cub Scout # 250.  Survivors in addition to her husband of 57 years include her six children; Noreen Kimball and husband John of Milford, Patricia Morrissey and husband Dennis of Stratford, Mary Dwyer of Milford, Christine Bruzinski and husband John of Trumbull, John G. Dwyer and wife Darlene of Trumbull, and Bridget Dwyer and partner David Grocott of London, ENG, her brother James Rielly of New Jersey, eleven grandchildren; Ryan Kimball and wife Suzanne, Meghan Cureton and husband David, John Dwyer, Kate Bruzinski, Cara Bruzinski, Dennis Morrissey, Shaun Morrissey, Andreas Papoyans, Colin Morrissey, Ryan Morrissey, and Tallulah Papoyans, three great grandchildren; Meredith, Hillary and Annabell, and several nieces and nephews. Dot was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers; Lillian Marchant, Mary Maresca, Edward, Joseph, Richard and Victor Reilly. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Patrick Church (lower church) 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
