Dorothy Bertha Dobelstein Schweitzer, age 92 died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Dorothy was born in Bridgeport on April 10, 1921 the daughter of the late Bertha and Edward Dobelstein. She was preceded in death by her husband William and her brothers Robert, Raymond, and Russell Dobelstein. Dorothy is survived by her children; Janice and husband Bruce Rockel of Mount Joy, PA, William and wife Linda of West Linn, OR, and Michael and wife Carol of West Haven, nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, sang in the Choir and was a member of the Dorcas Guild. She was a secretary at the University of Bridgeport in the College of Education retiring in 1982. Dorothy was a woman of dedication to family, church, and friends, sharing family values, appreciating what you have and finding humor in life and being a friend to many. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00a.m., at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main Street, Trumbull. The family will greet guests prior to the service.
