Edda M. Johnston, age 85 of Milford, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of late Randall E. Johnston. Born in Sobernheim Germany, December 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Hermann & Katharina Greulach. She retired from Shop Rite as a meat wrapper and Northeast Electronics as an inspector for many years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randall A. and Patricia Klink Johnston of Milford; daughter Sylvia Schell of West Haven; sister, Helga Sachse of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, six grandchildren: Melissa Johnston, Randall A. Jr. & wife Jessica Johnston, Michael & wife Lauren Johnston, Russell IV & wife Morgan Schell, Jennifer Schell & partner Samuel Wellington, Forrest & wife Jessica Schell; eight great-grandchildren: David, Alexa, Mikayla, Joshua, Russell V, Lacey, Madelyn, & Greyson, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews here and in Germany. She was also predeceased by her son Stephen Johnston, her sister, Ellen Gehrmann, her two brothers Friedhelm & Erhard Greulach, and her son-in-law Russell J. Schell III. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Tuesday morning after 9:00a.m, in the funeral home.
