Edna M. McCormack Kasper, age 95, beloved wife of the late John Kasper Jr. of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday October 28, 2017, at Ludlowe Health Care. Edna was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Josephine Daly McCormack. She was a talented singer, having performed for the U.S.O. and at the Ritz and Pleasure Beach Ballrooms, before dedicating her life to raising a family. A beloved mother, she leaves six children, John Kasper III and wife Donna of Monroe, Thomas A. Kasper of  Trumbull, Carol A. Sciarappa and husband Anthony of  Bridgeport, Barbara McSperrin  and husband Patrick of Beacon Falls, JoAnne E. Goslar and husband Ron of Mesa, AZ and Margaret A. Cavaliere and husband Vince of Monroe, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her extended children Annie, Nancy, Philip and Andrea. She was predeceased by a brother John McCormack and a sister Marion Mallon. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
