Edward F. Carroll of Fairfield beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Byrnes) Carroll for 51 years died on Sunday, August 16th. Ed was born in Bronx, NY to the late Edward and Mary (née Tivnan) Carroll. He was a proud member of the Fairfield Gaelic-American Club and the Knights of Columbus. Ed was a dedicated volunteer at St. Vincent Medical Center.  Survivors in addition to his wife includes his daughter, Rita (Anthony) Tarantino of Oxford, his son Edward M. (Karen) Carroll of Madison, WI and son-in-law John Ogden of Monroe; seven grandchildren Sean and Kaitlyn Ogden, Nicole and Megan Tarantino, Charles, Kelly and Peter Carroll; his sister Agnes (Gerald) Marvin and brother John (Lucille) Carroll and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Regina Ogden. Visitation at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, on Friday, August 21 from 4pm-7pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, on Saturday, August 22nd at 10am.
