Edward H. Jensen, Jr. was born in Bridgeport on December 26, 1936 and left this world on November 6, 2016. He passed at St. Joseph's Manor surrounded by family. Ed worked very hard his whole life. He was employed at Coca Cola for 30 years and on his time off he operated his own oil delivery business. He served in the National Guard in the 1st Missile Battalion (Nike-Ajax) 242D Artillery. He is survived by his children Michael Jensen and wife Rosemary of Seymour, CT, Shelia Long of Ansonia, CT, Edward A. Jensen and wife Veronica of Monroe, CT, Katie Heskett and husband Eric of Asheboro, NC. He also has three beloved grandsons Jack Jensen, Avery and Aiden Heskett, who were the light of his eyes. He is predeceased by parents Edward, Sr. and Dorothy Jensen, and brothers, Donald and Charles. He is survived by his brother Arthur Jensen, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also survived by his dear friends from Florida, the Cisek family. Ed had an avid love for auto racing and horses, which led him to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning a farm. He purchased a small farm in Brooksville, Florida where he kept his horses. He was loved and will be deeply missed. Friends may call Friday 4-8pm in Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. There will be a service at 7pm. Interment will be private.
