Edward J. Kochan Jr., age 59, beloved son of Anna E. Kochan and the late Dr. Edward J. Kochan  passed away at his home in Easton on December 22, 2009.  Edward was born on October 10, 1950 in St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport.  His grandparents were the late John & Julia Kochan and Phillip & Linda Epifano of Fairfield.  In addition to his mother he is survived by his two beloved brothers and their families, Drs. Jeffrey and Polly Kochan, sons Michael and Andrew and; Kenneth and Phyllis Kochan and their children Matt and Kristy. He graduated from Joel Barlow High School and later from Bullard Haven Technical School and also attended Housatonic Community College.  He was a long term employee of the E & F Construction Company and The Security Building both located in Bridgeport, and Cushman and Wakefield of Ct.  He was also a Member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 77 and was a certified vessel examiner.  He donated much of his spare time to the activities of the Fairfield Civilian Firefighters and the Salvation Army and served on their Emergency Disaster Committee. His family wishes to thank the staff on 7 East at St Vincent's Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care during his illness.
