Edward J. Sheridan age 87, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Florence Glennon Sheridan, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Edward was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late John and Margaret Doody Sheridan. He retired as service manager for Square Deal Stores and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Corps. Edward was a volunteer at the Bridgeport Library North Branch until the age of 83. Survivors in addition to his wife Florence include; a daughter Eileen Sheridan of Bridgeport and his "second daughter" Jane Murphy of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 2 - 6p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place.
