Elaine M. Szymanski, 76, passed away September 22, 2022, at Fresh River Nursing Home.  Elaine was born in June 1946, the daughter of Helen and Clemens Szymanski. She was a life-long resident of Bridgeport.  Elaine attended St. John Nepomucene Elementary School where she sang in the church choir and learned to play the piano. After graduating from Central High School, she attended business school and was employed by the City of Bridgeport.

Elaine is survived by her brother Richard, sister-in-law Edna, sister Judy, and brother-in-law Jim, as well as, nieces and nephews: Stephen, Ann Marie, Laura Jean, John, Matthew, and their families. Many thanks are due to cousins Sandy, Jack, and Phil (deceased) who were a great help to Elaine. The family is grateful to the many kind caregivers who made her life comfortable in her later years.

Despite serious health challenges, Elaine lived a generous and productive life. She cared for her parents as they grew older and was always kind to family members. We will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am in St. Patrick's Church, (lower chapel) Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday morning 9:30-10:30am in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
