Elnora Barry Evan, age 89 of Trumbull died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Connecticut Health of Southport. She was the beloved wife of the late Geza Evan. Born in Fairfield she spent her youth in the Tunxis Hill section with her extended family and friends. She did her part to support the War effort by going to work at Remington Arms. She enjoyed crocheting and was very talented. Mrs. Evan was a Trumbull resident for 50 years. She was beloved by the staff at Connecticut Health of Southport and her family expresses gratitude for the care and love she received. Survivors include her son Joseph G. Evan and his wife Frances of Stratford, daughter Lynn Marshall and her husband Jay and their family, daughter in law Mary Evan of Woolwich, ME grandchildren: Peter Evan and his wife Cheri and their three children Josephine, Nicholas and Leah; Thomas Evan, Sarah Evan, Michael Evan, brother Frank Barry, sister Angelina Jennings, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Geza, she was predeceased by her son Alan B. Evan, brother James Barry and sister Catherine D'Andrea. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am direct to St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Monday 4-7pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
