Elvira Signore, 87, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Cresenzo Signore for 67 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22.  Born in Minturno, Italy on September 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinando and Angelina Mallozzi Colacchio.  Elvira was a loving and caring wife and mother who always gave of herself.  Her Sunday dinners and hot apple pie were something to treasure.  She was predeceased by her sisters Mary, Lena and Virginia along with brother Salvatore.  In addition to her husband she is survived by sons Virgil and Kevin of Shelton and Fred and his wife Gerri of Bridgeport.  She is also survived by 5 cherished grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull.  Interment will follow at State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.  The family would like to thank the staff at Northbridge Health Care and Athena Hospice for all the special care and support they provided.
