Elwood G. DeMott, age 85 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Ruth Craw DeMott, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Maefair Health Care Center. Mr. DeMott was born in Stratford, son of the late Elwood G. DeMott Sr. and Hazel Goldsmith DeMott and had been a Bridgeport resident most of his life. He was an U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II and retired as a tool and die maker. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, George DeMott of Uncasville; three sisters, Lorretta Norman of Lodi, N.J., Eleanor DeMott and Dorothy Cieskowski, both of Bridgeport; also several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., from the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church (lower chapel), Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
