Emil J. Altieri, 87 years old, of Ocala FL and Hamden CT, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2016. Emil was born in Bridgeport, the son of John and Linda Giovenetti Altieri. He retired as a Data Processing Manager for Producto Machine Company. Emil served in the National Guard, attended Pace College and was dedicated to the Junior Achievement Program, helping numerous youths move forward in life and career. He enjoyed racquet ball at the Bridgeport YMCA and was a lover of the game of golf. These came second to his devotion to his family. Emil was the beloved husband of Patricia Altieri and the late Mary Ann Sugrue Altieri. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three loving daughters, Donna Altieri Lebedevitch and husband Anthony of Bethany, Amelia Altieri and husband Kevin Ruebenstahl of Old Greenwich and Christine Altieri Kane and husband Charles of Brookline, MA, two brothers, Angelo Altieri of Ocala, FL, Gene Altieri and wife Barbara of West Haven, a sister Tina Barone of New Haven, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, three step children, six step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m., meeting directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial.
