Eva M. Ockovitz, age 91 of Bridgeport died peacefully at the Bridgeport Health Care Center on August 6, 2015. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Karol and Stephania Paprocki. Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Ockovitz and her siblings: Michael, Stephen, Lenore Caserta, John and Philip Poprocki. Eva is survived by her beloved children; John E. Ockovitz, Thomas J. Ockovitz, both of Bridgeport, Ann M. Kohler and husband William of Derby, and grandchildren, Carrie Tracy and Jeffrey Gore, and great grandchildren. Among Eva's other beloved survivors are her brother George Paprocki of Trumbull, and nieces; June Zack, Mary Jane Scholtz, Carol Cantwell, and nephews; Richard Caserta, James Caserta, Michael Poprocki, Karol Poprocki, John Poprocki, Kenneth Poprocki, and Jerry Day. Eva was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and completed primary and secondary schools there. Post high school, during World War II she worked in a production department at General Electric.
