Fay D. McMahon, age 99 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late John F. McMahon, went home to her Lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. She was born on August 23, 1911, the daughter of James and Maria Amodeo DeStefano. Fay was predeceased by her devoted daughter, Eileen M. McMahon as well as her brothers; John, Frank, Tony and Vincent DeStefano, and her sisters; Lena Coppola, Jean Russo, and Florence McShane. To cherish her memory she leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law; Mary and Richard Walsh, her adored grandchildren;  John Walsh, Eileen Maguire and husband Brendan, Kathleen Greeley and husband Eric, a great granddaughter Nora Maguire, her dear brothers and sisters; George and Angie DeStefano, Ann Micalizzi and Margaret Gigliotti. Fay will be mourned and celebrated by many including her many nieces and nephews. Fay was devoted to her faith and her parish, St. Andrew Church in Bridgeport. She also treasured her time at Bethany Senior Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 10:00am meeting directly in St. Andrew Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown. Friends may call Friday from 4pm to 7pm in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
