Florence L. Whitney Grinnell, age 91, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Astoria Park Health Care. Mrs. Grinnell was the daughter of Franklin and Lillian White Whitney and was a retired advertising clerk for the Bridgeport Telegram - Post. Survivors include her beloved children, two daughters, Sharon Grinnell and Patricia Provenzano, both of Bridgeport and two sons, Kenneth Grinnell of New Hampshire and Edward Grinnell of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, Robert Provenzano, Shaun Grinnell, Teresa Grinnell, Kelly Paton, and Kim Grinnell, two great grandchildren, Tyler Paton, and William E. Grinnell. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m., in St. Augustine Cathedral, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
