Florence H. Klettke Nevelson, age 86 of Trumbull, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 in St. Joseph's Center. Florence was born in Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Alex and Ida Kanehl Klettke and was a longtime Bridgeport resident. She was an art teacher at Joel Barlow High School for twenty-six years, prior to her retirement. Florence was a member of St. Augustine Cathedral and was active with their Emmaus Group. Survivors include her daughters Elsbeth and Maria Nevelson, four nephews Russell, Neal, Bart, and Matthew Klettke. She was predeceased by her brother Ivan Klettke. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., meeting directly in St. Augustine Cathedral, 399 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
