Frances Helen Pinto, 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on December 31, 2012. Born in Bridgeport, CT she was a long time resident of Trumbull. Frances was born on February 20, 1925 to the late Andrew & Elizabeth (Vlahac) Spodnik. Frances was a 1942 graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport. She worked at General Electric until she married. She was a home maker and most important to Frances was her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed music, dancing, and travel. She was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols and had an active spiritual life. Frances was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Salvatore Pinto and a brother Albert Spodnik. She is survived by her children and their spouse's Lisa Pinto Tobey and William of Grafton, NH, Valerie Pinto of Grafton NH and A.D. Drayton, Nicholas Pinto and Avis of Monroe, CT, Andrew Pinto and Patte of Monroe, CT and Frank Pinto and Nancy of Davis, CA; a brother Andrew Spodnik of Cheshire, CT; a sister Mary Kassay of Fairfield, CT; eight grandchildren Rebecca, Anthony, Michael and Andrew Pinto, Sarita Chavez (Joaquin), Erica Marshall (Kyle) Amanda Regan (Chris) and Mitchel Tobey. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Burial will be private.
