Frances L. Olah Roberts, age 88 of Bridgeport, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2015, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Roberts was born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late William and Grace Olah. She retired from the City of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department and the Cardinal Shehan Center. A volunteer for many years with Long Island Sound America, Swim Across the Sound, Girl Scouts of America, and the Thomas Merton House. Frances was also a member of the Our Lady of Good Council Parish and the Aqua Maid Water Ballet Group for more than fifty years. Frances was predeceased by her husband Mark Roberts and is survived by her children; Francine A. Roberts of Bridgeport, and Mark Roberts Jr., and wife Patricia of Trumbull, two brothers; Donald Olah of Seymour and Robert Engelhard of Southbury, three grandchildren; Scott Roberts and wife Patricia of Stratford, Brian Roberts of Stratford and Kyle Roberts of Burlington, VT, two great grandchildren; Ethan and Ty Roberts of Stratford. She will be missed by all that knew her. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
