Francis (Red) E. Johnson, age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Carriage Green of Milford. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and son, Marie Marchello Johnson and David Johnson. Francis was born in Stratford, son of the late Edmond and Frances Johnson and lived most of his life in Bridgeport, before moving to Carriage Green a short time ago. He retired as foreman for the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company. He was active with the MALES of Stratford, Easton Senior Center and a devoted member of St. Andrew Parish, Bridgeport. Survivors include a brother, Ed Brown and his wife Beverly, brother-in-law, Mickey Powers and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Powers and Anna May Rowe. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 10:30 a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m., in St. Andrew Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
