Francis A. Lyons, age 92 of Fairfield, beloved husband of Ruth G. Sirois Lyons, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Archibald, PA, he moved to this area in 1941. Mr. Lyons graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College. He was employed in the design and drafting department at Sikorsky Aircraft and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children, Dana Lyons and wife Janice of Danbury, Dennis Lyons of Fairfield, Darcy Cleary and husband Todd of Timonium, MD, Dylan Lyons and wife Linda of Portland, OR, Darice Rahrig and husband Tom of Madison, Dineen Lyons of Fairfield, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his children, Duane and Denise Lyons. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 10:00am, meeting directly in Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
