Obituary

Jacko, Frank J. Jacko, age 80 of Trumbull died Saturday, September 13, 2008 in St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull. He was the beloved husband of Mildred Valovcin Jacko. Born in Stratford he was the son of Frank and Alice Erst Jacko. He attended schools in Stratford – Franklin School, Stratford High School (class vice-president) and the University of Bridgeport. He served in the U.S. Navy and Reserves during World War II. Mr. Jacko was the former president of Investors Mortgage Co. in Bridgeport and served as corporator and trustee of City Savings Bank (Bank Mart). He was a past member of the Bridgeport Rotary Club, Past president of Eastern Fairfield County C.I.D., Past President of Connecticut C.I.D. and Past president Connecticut Chapter, American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (MAI). He served as a past member of Board of Directors for the Bridgeport Board of Realtors, Bridgeport Industrial Council, the Algonquin Club and V.N.A. Laurelwood Apartments (Rotary Housing). Mr. Jacko was an active parishioner of St. Theresa Church, Trumbull serving as past trustee, on the Temporal affairs Commission, the Lay Board, as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Theresa's Council. Along with his wife, he served as Diocesan Chaircouple of the Family Life Ministry under the late Msgr. Raymond Guidone. He was a member of the Tashua Knolls Senior Men's Club, a former member of the Nutmegger's Quartet and the Coastal Chordsmen (SPEBSQSA). In addition to his wife Mildred, he is survived by five loving children, son Richard Joseph Jacko and his wife MaryLynn of Murrysville, PA, daughters JoAnne Marie Harris and her husband Daniel of Stafford, VA, Nancy Elizabeth Seperack of Stratford, Barbara Anne Conway and her husband Jerome of Suwanee,GA , and Judith Anne Shpak and her husband Daniel of Oxford, 19 grandchildren, Michael, David and Susan Jacko, Jessie Leiber and her husband Sam, Emily Coman and her husband Tom, Lt. James Harris, Jennifer, Allison and Jehyzell Seperack, Amy, Elizabeth, Stephen and William Conway, Andrew, Daniel, Christopher, Katie, Rebecca, and Kelly Shpak, two great grandchildren Ethan Coman and Abigail Leiber, his sister Marion MacFadyen and her husband John of Milford, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00am directly in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Wednesday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
