Frank L. Palmer age 80, of Bridgeport died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Ludlowe Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Doris Ober Palmer for 53 years. Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Palmer was a U.S. Naval Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft for 38 years spending most of his career as engineering manager. A staunch environmentalist and sportsman, he was a lifetime member of the Fairfield County Fish & Game Protective Association. Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Mark, Gary and Alan, four grandchildren, Graham, Krista, Katie, and Emily, a brother James and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30am in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull with Rev. Dr. David Johnson Rowe officiating. Interment will be private.
