Freda Forsyth Poirier, age 91 beloved wife of Marc R. Poirier, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Freda was born in New Bedford, MA, daughter of the late Robert and Amy Platt Forsyth and resided in Bridgeport for sixty years. She retired as head chef of the H. Smith Richardson Golf Course, Fairfield, where she was loved by all. Freda was a very involved member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Bridgeport. Survivors in addition to her husband Marc include her devoted children; Roger L. Poirier of Bethel, Diane J. Riccio and husband Carl of Watertown, Robert D. Poirier and wife Christine of Fort Meyers, FL, and Linda S. Ryan and husband Thomas of West Haven, seven cherished grandchildren and four loving great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will be private in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30a.m., until the service time.
