George A. Brust, age 93, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Eleanor M. Rideg Brust, passed away Sunday March 6, 2011, at Masonicare Hospice at Newtown. George was born in Bridgeport and has resided in Trumbull 54 years. He was a   technician for SNET Co. now known as AT&T retiring after 35 years. George was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Tashua Men's Bowling League, Trumbull Senior Club at Edison and SNET Co. Pioneers Retirees. He was predeceased by a beloved son, George R. Brust of Trumbull. Survivors in addition to his wife of 70 years include a son, Gerald C. Brust of Knoxville, TN, a daughter, Geraldine R. Brust of Monroe, two sisters, Irene Bush of Tamarac, FL and Pearl B. Norton of Vero Beach, FL, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Brust, and two sisters, Eva "Dolly" Morrison and Mae Domizio. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am, in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with the Reverend Cynthia Stasco, Pastor of the Olivet Congregational Church, Bridgeport, officiating. Committal prayers and full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 3:00 – 7:00 pm.
