George C. Chakar, age 77 of Trumbull passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Mary Barbar Chakar. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Chakib and Amelia Estephan Chakar. Mr. Chakar worked as a machinist and later was the owner of George's Variety & Deli. In addition to his wife he is survived by his devoted daughter, Madeline Jabbour and her husband Tony, loving grandchildren, Elaine, Madeline, and Anthony Jabbour, sisters and brothers, Jeanette Khamargi, Eli Chakar, Joseph Chakar, Elaine Jabbour, Fairuz Saad, Lor Chawich, and Margo Shawbar, niece Doris Estephan and her husband Zahi, nephew Nicholas Kharmarji and many more nieces and nephews. He will be missed especially by his chicken eating partner, Anthony. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00a.m., in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial.
