George P. McIntyre, passed away peacefully at home in Norwalk, on January 21, 2010 at the age of 60. George was born in Derby and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a linguist. He was a mechanical engineer with Sikorsky Aircraft for 20 years and an avid amateur sports pilot and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his wife, Susan E. McIntyre, mother, Irene McIntyre of Ansonia, sons, Erik McIntyre and wife Kathy of Aviano AFB, Italy, George McIntyre, Jr. of Providence, RI, and Shaun McIntyre and wife Lisa of Waterbury, sister, Amy DiCocco and husband Tony of Stratford, brother, Barrett McIntyre and wife Shirley of Phoenix, AZ, grandsons, Keith and Kyle, nieces Rebecca, Sarah and Julie and nephews, Anthony and Christopher. He was predeceased by his father, George F. McIntyre.
