Gerald A. Wilding, age 81 of Brookfield, beloved husband of Anita T. Caporelli Wilding, passed away, Friday, December 24, 2010 at Glen Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danbury. Gerald was born in Peckville, PA, son of the late Elmer and Faith Rolls Wilding, and was a Trumbull resident before moving to Brookfield. He was a retired carpenter for Fairfield University, and prior to that worked with his brother-in-law, who operated Universal Construction. Gerald served in Korea with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. A great husband and father, survivors in addition to his beloved wife Anita, include a devoted daughter Karen Deaver and husband David of Brookfield, a sister Judith Muehleisen of Forest City, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Gary J. Wilding and a sister Lois Wilding of Peckville, PA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30am in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4pm to 8pm in the funeral home.
