Gertrude Fitzpatrick Buchanan age 83 of Bridgeport died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Estelle Meehan Fitzpatrick. Mrs. Buchanan was a retired administrative assistant employed at Sacred Heart University. She retired in the late 1980's after 15 years of service. Survivors include her loving children, sons Michael Buchanan and his wife Julie of New Haven and Patrick Buchanan and his wife Tammy of Stratford, daughter Maura Buchanan-Reilly of Cornwall and eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will be missed by all her family and many friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:15am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm.
