Gertrude Ulbrick Kovac, age 99, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Nicholas P. Kovac, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at St. Joseph's Manor. Mrs. Kovac was a graduate of the New Haven Normal School and had taught elementary grades for the Bridgeport School System. She resided many years in Trumbull and at Wesley Heights, Shelton. Survivors include her beloved son, John N. Kovac and wife Patricia of Memphis, TN, two grandsons, Jason R. Kovac of Kansas City, MO and Nicholas J. Kovac of Portland, OR and several nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with the Rev. Matthew Braddock, pastor of the Trumbull Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
