Gertrude Canavan Rollins, age 86 of Bridgeport died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury. She was the beloved wife of Vincent R. Rollins. Born in Port Chester, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Canavan. Gertrude was an avid bowler in many leagues, bowling many times each week. Survivors in addition to her husband, Vincent,  include her daughters Jeanie Salvio (Carl) of Stratford and Patricia Rollins of Bridgeport, her four grandchildren, Douglas Salvio, Frank Salvio, Gina Salvio ( Christopher Prue) and Marcus Salvio, great granddaughter Penelope Prue, her nieces and nephews and special family friend Paul Palumbo Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial.
