Gloria Mary Battistelli, age 93, a resident of Trumbull for sixty-five years, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2016, with her family by her side, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the Peter and Lena Petrucelli of Bridgeport. Gloria was predeceased by her husband George Edward Battistelli Sr., and her eldest son Louis George Battistelli. She is survived by her daughter Patricia F. Battistelli and special friend Kenneth Cardinal of Trumbull, her son George E. Battistelli, Jr. and wife Karen of Shelton, her grandson Brian G. Battistelli, granddaughter Kristen Battistelli, and step granddaughter Jenna Racz. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Petrucelli and wife Carmella of Milford, and Fred Petrucelli and wife Lillian of Conway, AR, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gloria worked at the Bridgeport Brass Company during World War II to help support the war efforts. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She always put her family first, and devoted her life to taking care of her children. She loved to cook and spent many hours preparing wonderful meals for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and took pride in keeping her home perfect at all times. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:15a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00a.m., in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
