Grace Meeks Berg passed away at home in Southport, CT, on September 15, 2026. Grace was born in Meriden, CT on August 2 1935 and was the sole child of the late Harold Edwin Meeks and Jessie (Ross-Barnes). Grace graduated from Meriden High School and attended Colby-Sawyer Junior College in New London, NH, and Southern Ct State College.

Grace met her husband, Robert H. Berg, on a family vacation at Newfound Lake in New Hampshire. They were married in 1955 at Choate Chapel in Wallingford, CT. Grace and Bob lived in Morristown & Mendham, NJ before settling in Wilton, CT in 1973. Upon Bob’s passing, Grace moved to Southport, CT. Grace became a member of the Southport Congregational Church where she also donated much of her time at the church’s Carousel Thrift Shop.

Grace’s professional career included working as a Recreational Therapist at Silver Hill Hospital, New Canaan, CT, and Wilton Meadows Nursing and Rehab in Wilton, CT.

Grace is survived by daughter Polly J Berg (Boston, MA) and Son Gregory R Berg (Michelle) (Southport, CT) and grandchildren Alexander Berg and Ashley Berg.

Grace will be remembered for her passion, dedication and energy she put into everything she did. She will be missed by all who knew her.
