Grace E. Herr Lapke, age 102, a longtime resident of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late George J. Lapke, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation, Fairfield. Grace was born in Harrisburg, PA, daughter of the Charles Herr and Mildred Walker Herr Reel. Survivors include her son Thomas M. Lapke of Bridgeport and his longtime partner Maria Seman, five cherished grandchildren Alison DosSantos and husband Michael, Thomas G. Lapke and wife Kristin, Laurie Lapke, Jean Papageorge, and Kenneth Lapke and wife Heather, eleven great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son George "Ken" Lapke, and a granddaughter Grace Lapke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
