Reverend Gregory J. Huminski, age 55, passed away May 1, 2010. Rev. Huminski was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Matthew and Gertrude Federowicz Huminski and was also predeceased by his stepmother, Sally Pagliuso Huminski. He was raised in Trumbull and graduated from St. Theresa School and St. Joseph's High School. Rev. Huminski entered St. John's Seminary, Boston and was ordained to the priesthood May 10, 1980 by Bishop Walter W. Curtis at St. Augustine Cathedral, Bridgeport. His appointments included faculty member at Stamford High School and resident priest at Villa Maria Retreat House, Stamford, faculty member at Notre Dame High School and resident priest at Notre Dame Parish, Easton, resident priest at St Stephen Parish, Trumbull, parochial vicar at St. Jude Parish, Monroe, temporary administrator of St. Jude Parish, Monroe, parochial vicar at St Theresa Parish, Trumbull, chaplain at Sacred Heart University and resident priest at St. Ambrose, Bridgeport, parochial vicar at St. Matthew Parish, Norwalk, Pastor of Saint Mary Parish, Norwalk, part-time parochial vicar at St Paul Parish, Greenwich, chaplain at Greenwich Hospital and parochial vicar at St Maurice Parish, Stamford. Survivors include his beloved brothers, Dale M. Huminski and wife Maggie of Trumbull and Glenn L. Huminski and wife Sheri of Sarasota, Florida, two nephews, Timothy B. Huminski and wife Carolyn, Jordon Huminski and a niece, Haley Huminski, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved bischon, Harry. Rev. Huminski will be received into St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 3:30 pm. and lie in state until 7:00 pm. when a Parish Mass will be offered. His funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00am in St. Theresa Church. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
