Hector Acevedo, age 63 of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in his home. Hector was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and was a Bridgeport resident most of his life. He retired as a mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental Company, and was a member of Union Teamsters #191. Survivors include his loving parents; Mariano and Andrea Teron Acevedo, his three beloved daughters; Soraida Gagnon and husband Ronald of Waterbury, Angelique Piccirillo and husband Michael of Shelton, and Malene Acevedo of Bridgeport, his devoted brothers and sisters; Mariano Acevedo Jr. and wife Isabel, whom cared for Hector during his illness, Arnaldo Acvedo, Evelyn LaLuz and husband Pedro, Mildred Ocasio and husband Francisco, Miriam Pagan and husband Jose, all of Bridgeport, and Aida Castillo and husband Ralph of West Palm Beach, FL, four cherished grandchildren; Jessica and Joseph Piccirillo, Alana Gagnon, and Jayden Rodriguez, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
