Hedwig B. Giambazi, age 98 of Wesley Heights, Shelton, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Giambazi, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at Griffin Hospital. Hedwig was born in Germany, daughter of William and Jaeobine Krut Broehm. She lived most of her life in Bridgeport and enjoyed cooking, even to the extent of catering beautiful affairs for others and working in her yard and gardens. Hedwig retired as an assistant manager for the former Connecticut National Bank. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Wright of California; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Florence Durrant and Ellen Kanter. Service will be private at the convenience of the family.
