Helen Ward "Toni" Carr, age 80 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in her home. She was surrounded by her children and beloved dog, Arthur. Toni was born July 1, 1936 in Summit, New Jersey, daughter of the late Robertson D. and Margaret E. Wright-Clark Ward. She was a graduate of Miss Porter's School and Villa Julie Junior College, and worked in Administration for the Louis Dreyfus Company in Wilton. Toni was a long time member of the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. Survivors include her children Roby Carr Lanford and husband Jeremy, Charles N. Carr, Jr. and wife Jillian, and Polly Carr and husband Scott Anaya, four granddaughters and one grandson, her brother Peter R. Ward, four nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her brother John G. Ward. The family will host a private ceremony to celebrate her life at a future date.
