Helen Regina Corey, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Joseph J. Corey Jr., passed away peacefully Friday, April 23, 2010, in her home. Helen was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Patrick and Eva Topping Curry. She was a Trumbull resident 40 years and a dedicated member of St. Theresa Parish. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four loving children, Mary Ellen Barton and husband Richard of Derby, Joseph J. Corey III and wife Maryanne of Trumbull, Monica Austin and husband Michael of Southborough, MA, and Paul M. Corey and wife Joy of West Springfield, MA, seven cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Barton, Evan and Zachary Corey, Andrew and Adam Armin, Alexia and Samantha Austin; also several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by three brothers, Martin, Joseph and James Curry and two sisters, Veronica Sheeran and Marie Coyle. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 am, from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 am, in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Monday after 9:00 am.
