Helen Daniels Kot was the 10th of 11 children born to Paul and Julia Daniels on February 11, 1921 on Jetland Place in Black Rock.  A 1937 graduate of Bassick High School, her former employers include the Charles Edwards Insurance Company, The Bridgeport Brass, and Columbia Records among others. She lived 58 of her nearly 66 years of marriage with Michael Kot in Easton where she was a former assistant town clerk. Helen was a member of Notre Dame Parish of Easton since before its inception.  She was a former secretary to the Parish Council and a Ladies Council member for as many years enjoying the company at the semi-annual dinners. Helen was a wonderful devoted mother of 4 children. Deborah Zimmer of Atlantic Beach, Florida; Marie York of Currituck, NC with her husband Michael John York; Michael P. Kot of Easton, CT with his wife Krista; and Brandan Kot of Raleigh, NC with his wife Kayla. Helen was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Schroeder, Michael Zimmer, Christopher Zimmer, Krista Kot, Michael Kot, Nicholas Kot, Declan Kot, Alexander Kot, Andrew Kot and John York.  She was also the great grandmother to 5 great grandchildren.  She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00am, meeting directly in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, with Mass of Christian Burial.
