Obituary

Helen K. Kania Sauers age 88, a longtime Bridgeport resident died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Willard (Cy) C. Sauers. Born in Philadelphia, PA.  Mrs. Sauers was an inspector for Remington Electric Shaver where she worked for over 40 years. She was an active member of their Quarter Century Club and also a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church Prayer Shawl Group. She will be remembered most of all for her devotion to her family. Survivors include her sons, Robert J. Sauers and his wife Eleanor of Fairfield, and Ronald P. Sauers and his wife Deborah of Naugatuck, grandchildren, Colleen Banick and her husband Bill, Megan, Brittany, and Alexa Sauers, great grandson, Liam Michael Banick III, sisters Sophie Kochien and her husband George of Rhode Island, Agnes Johnston and her husband Howard of Pennsylvania, and Mary Comerford and her husband Matt of Vermont, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Friday 4-7pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull .
