Henry Lyons III, Esq. (Harry) of Easton, age 65 died May 6th, 2010 after a courageous battle with Leukemia at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Janet Lyons. Born on October 2, 1944 in Bridgeport, CT and resided in Lordship, CT he was the son of the late Henry J. Lyons II, Esq. (Big Harry) and Margaret Toomey Lyons. He was educated at Notre Dame Catholic High School; Boston College where he earned his B.S. in 1966; Suffolk University Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1969. Harry specialized in Litigation Matters and was employed by Pullman & Comley, LLC 1969-1978. In 1978 he went into private practice with Arthur C. Williams under the name of Williams and Lyons which later expanded into Williams, Lyons and Hawley. In 1995, he became a sole practitioner in Fairfield, CT. He was an avid runner, and reader, loved to travel abroad, and lying in the sun. He was a prior member of Fairfield Beach Club, Black Rock Yacht Club, Southport Racquetball Club. Active in community affairs such as Jaycees, Special Olympics, and was involved in Republican Town Committee. He also served as a Special Master. Harry and his wife were Big Brother and Big Sister and were honored for their involvement in 2002. He was a member of the Connecticut Bar Association beginning in 1969, Family Law and Real Property, The Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, American Bar Association, United States District Court, 2nd Circuit Court, United States Supreme Court, Adjunct Associate Professor at Sacred Heart 1971-78, member of the Jaycees, Fairfield Chamber. He was a strong believer of living one day at a time. Survivors include his beloved wife, Janet Lyons, loving children, Jennifer Lyons Marsocci and husband David of North Scituate, RI, Dana M. Lyons of Fairfield, CT, Kathryn Lyons Vogel and husband Bradley of North Haven, CT, Grandchildren, Lauren Marsocci, Courtney Marsocci, Jameson Marsocci, Scarlett Vogel, Chloe Vogel, Step-Children, Clinton Sloan and wife Danielle, Christian Sloan and wife Galina and son Michael. He was predeceased by his grandson, Harrison Marsocci. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00am meeting directly at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Committal service will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
