Ian C. Potts, age 59 of Bridgeport passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of the late Michelle Smith Potts. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Sid and Elizabeth (Betty) Moss Potts. Ian is survived by his son, Ian C. Potts II and his wife Nicole of Stratford, his granddaughters, who were the light of his life, Sophia and Sadie, sister, Helene Cote' and her husband Daniel, brother, Robert Potts and his wife Karen, mother-in-law Jeanne Smith, nieces, nephews, cousins and his close friends, Carlos and BK. He was also predeceased by his brother Allan Potts and father-in-law Ken Smith. Ian will be remembered as the life of the party, a happy guy who loved to talk, a man who truly loved people and made sure everyone kept in touch. Above all else he loved spending time with his family especially his beautiful granddaughters. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
