Irene A. (Leska) Stoffan, age 93 of Trumbull, the beloved wife of Albert A. Stoffan, entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2016 at St. Joseph Center. Born on July 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leska and Pauline Fallet Leska. A graduate of Central High School, Irene met the love of her life, Albert, while employed at the Singer Manufacturing Company as an office accountant. She was later employed at Harvey Hubbell and General Electric. Irene and Albert were married 65 years and resided in Easton for more than 50 years. Together, they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and were always busy tending their garden. Survivors include a sister, Helen Weaver (FL); nephews Richard Alesevich and his wife, Carol, of Trumbull; Sam Alesevich and his wife, Christine, of Shelton; Paul Sandorff (CA); Carl Sandorff (CO); John Sandorff (CO); Richard Leska (CT); Edward Leska, Jr. (MA); James Leska (CT) and nieces Doris Walter, (FL); Carol Ann Kartak (MN); Mary Scott (CT); Patricia Pincus (FL), and Barbara Leska; grandnieces Joanne Bell and husband, Drew, of Peekskill, NY; Janet Howard and husband, Josh, of Stamford; Elizabeth Alesevich of Shelton; grandnephews Christopher Alesevich of Shelton; Steven Alesevich and wife, Kristen, of Newtown. Irene was predeceased by husband, Albert, and sister, Katherine Pitcher; brothers Matthew, Joseph, Henry, Albert, Edward, and John Leska; nephews Robert, Paul, and Michael Leska. The family wishes to thank the nursing and administrative staff at St. Joseph Center for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 6th at 9:00a.m., followed by 10:00a.m. services at Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
