James A. Giannattasio, age 47 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Cristina Pinto Giannattasio, passed away suddenly March 10, 2014 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Jim was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Anthony and Pauline Spero Giannattasio. He had formerly worked for the City of Bridgeport as an animal control officer. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons James Giannattasio and fiancé Nicole Lombard, and Joshua Giannattasio, a daughter Crystal Giannattasio all of Bridgeport. Jim was well liked and a friend to many. Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 4p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. A funeral service will begin at 4p.m., with the Rev. John Giannattasio and Rev. Robert Turner, co-officiating. Interment will be private.
