James J. Musante, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Barbara Patterson Musante, passed away peacefully December 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at Bridgeport Hospital. James was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Albert and Mary Dondero Musante. He was a graduate of Harding High School Class of 1948, Fairfield University Class of 1952 and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. James lived for twenty two years in Groton and came to Trumbull two years ago. He retired as a Director of Economic Development for the State of Connecticut, Rocky Hill and was a member of the Groton Elks Lodge and life member of the East End Yacht Club, Bridgeport. In addition to his wife Barbara, he leaves a loving son, Terry Calgreen and wife Noreen of Stratford, two granddaughters, Lauren and Sarah Calgreen, a sister, Alma Payne of Inman, SC, one nephew and two nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred and Robert Musante. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
