James Joseph Repay, beloved father and grandfather, 63, of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018.  James was born on May 21, 1954 in Bridgeport, son of Betty Repay of Bridgeport and the late Joseph Repay. He was a union electrician for IBEW 488 and was an active member until his passing. James spent his time between Jamesport, NY, Fort Myers, FL and his home in Bridgeport. There is nothing he loved more than spending time with his two daughters, sons-in law, and two beloved grandsons. James was the best "Pop-Pop" ever to his two grandsons. For a man who faced so much adversity in life, he did so with determination, grit and grace. He had a smile that would light up any room, and would talk to anyone to "make their day." His memory will live on through his loving family. Survivors in addition to his mother include; oldest daughter, Amy Deeb and her husband, Michael and their two sons, James Joseph (JJ) and Tyler; his youngest daughter, Christie Koolis and her husband, Mark and their soon to be son arriving June 2018; brother, Richard Repay and his wife, Ellen, as well as their three children. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Augustine Cathedral, 399 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
